Shuyak Marine Debris Clean Up Journey
This is a very well made video of The Shuyak Island Cleanp Project that I participated in last summer. The video was produced by one of the volunteers that came out from Sydney Australia and she was part of the group that replaced us when we had to leave.
She did a marvelous job at capturing our day to day struggles with the Marine Debris and the contrasting beauty of the remote island. The program ran for 12 weeks over the northern summer. I participated for two weeks with 3 other volunteers. The program was run by the Island Trails Network and funded by NOAA. Every two weeks a fresh set of volunteers made the Journey to Alaska to trade places with a previous group.
