A man with a kayak is never lost. No matter whither he may paddle, his food and shelter are right with him, and home is wherever he may choose to land.

Paddling The Inside Passage Exhibit

ggsks

A couple of local paddlers (Tom Jordan & Pat O'Connor) launched from Olympia, WA on May 13th 2012 and paddled for 78 days up the Inside Passage, landing in Skagway Alaska on July 28th.

Come to the University Place Library on Thursday October 18th at 7pm to watch a slide show presentation about there trip.

Here is a short preview of their adventures: It started out rather wet on a dock in front of the Capital Bldg. while Gerry D. was assisting me to lower my boat into the water somehow/someway/ I fell into the H20 with my dry suit unzipped (I think I was pushed). Things went down hill from that point. However, after 78 days Tom and I paddled into Skagway arriving at 9pm. Where after several beers  and a clean DRY pair of underwear I felt a lot better.
