Fox Island

This information is designed to provide basic information to help you in choosing appropriate paddle trips for your level of experience. The information may be old and outdated and I would encourage you to use several resources when a trip in unfamiliar areas.   • You can circumnavigate Fox Island in a clockwise or counterclockwise fashion depending on how you plan to harness the direction of current. Things to see are the Fox Island Fishing Pier, Tanglewood Island, and the old navy sonar testing facilities.

    Some current can be experienced off of the NW and SW ends of the island. There can also be moderate boat traffic in the area of the bridge in the summer months.
