Living off the sea, is an interesting idea and internationally known author, Charlie White shares his experience is this very interesting book. Living off The Sea gives details on how to catch, clean and even prepare shrimp, crabs, oysters and fish such as cod and sole. Charlie White also devotes Chapter Six to exotic seafood that includes abalone, sea cucumber and seaweed. Chapter Five is about red tide and shellfish pollution. Each chapter ends with a brief description of how and when to try your luck catching the seas' bounties.

Seaweeds of the Pacific Coast: Common Marine Algae from Alaska to Baja California

Created for those who work and play on the shores and in the shallow subtidal of the Pacific, this easy-to-use field guide is suitable for amateurs and professionals alike. THE WILD COAST 3 BY JOHN KIMANTAS

Sea Kayak Navigation by Franco Ferrero

The first edition (0953195619 which went out of print Spring 2007) rapidly became a standard text for sea kayakers. This new edition builds on that success. There are numerous improvements in the explanations and GPS is covered in more detail, reflecting the increased availability and usage of electronic navigational aids. Full use is made of colour photos, diagrams, maps and charts, further enhancing the reader's experience. Exercises to reinforce and self-assess how much the reader has taken on board are provided at the end of each chapter."Sea Kayak Navigation" is recommended as support material for the new British Canoe Union navigation courses that are currently being introduced.

Tidal Currents of Puget Sound

This Book compliles Current Charts and Tide Prints for Puget Sound. Current Charts show the values of the currents at each reference station. There is one chart for every hour throughout the cycle. They are indexed to the tidal current at Admiralty Inlet. Tide Prints show the flow patterns and how they evolve throughout the current cycle. There is one print for every 3 hours throughout the cycle. They are indexed to the tide height in Seattle. Comparing Tide Prints and Current Charts shows the locations of eddies and bands of current, and how these bands and eddies move and interact as the current cycle evolves. This publication, is good for any year.

Cascade Marine Trails Guidebook from WWTA

This water trail on Puget Sound is a National Recreation Trail and designated one of only 16 National Millennium Trails by the White House. Suitable for day or multi-day trips, the Cascadia Marine Trail has over 50 campsites to visit. People can boat to the campsites from many public and private launch sites or shoreline trailheads.
