Training & Events

Training gives us an outlet for suppressed energies created by stress and thus tones the spirit just as exercise conditions the body

Deception Pass Dash

This annual Northwest paddling tradition is open to paddlers ages 16+. The race will be held on the morning of Sunday, December 6th, 2015. Check-in will begin at 8:30am, and the race will start at 11:20am. You can register online or by calling 425-883-9039. There will be Clinics, a Stewardship Project, and a free Dinner on Saturday!

The challenging 6 mile race course takes paddlers through the swirling waters of Deception Pass! You don't need to be an expert paddler to participate - but they do ask that you prepare (practice paddling, rolling, rescues, etc) and make safe decisions about your paddling ability on the day of the race (based on actual conditions). All racers should have significant paddling experience and proven self-rescue skills. If this is your first paddle race, or you'd like to brush up on your rescue skills and take advantage of early check-in, be sure to join us on Saturday, December 5th for some on-water practice and clinics.
